# tmux — attach / list / navigate (lab-OVH)

Quick reference so you never have to ask again. The Claude cells each live in their own tmux session on this box; attaching just gives you a window onto them.

Get on the box first (if you're not already)

`bash ssh ubuntu@100.107.222.72 # lab-OVH (or the tailnet name) `

List the active sessions

`bash tmux ls ` Reading it: name: 1 windows (created …) (attached)
  • (attached) = a client is currently looking at it
  • no tag = running fine, nobody connected

The cells (one tmux session each)

| Session | Who | |---|---| | lab | lab-ovh Claude — the mesh host / substrate (this is the one you usually want) | | drop-on-meta-edge | drop (security / meta-edge) | | gridiron | the football daughter | | gemini | gemini lane | | gpt-ops | gpt |

Attach

`bash tmux attach -t lab # land on lab (me) tmux attach -t drop-on-meta-edge # …or any other cell `
  • Ctrl-b s — interactive session picker (arrow-key jump between cells). The one you actually want.
  • Ctrl-b ( / Ctrl-b ) — previous / next session
  • Ctrl-b d — detach (leaves the session running). Use this to leave.

THE ONE RULE

Never exit / Ctrl-c out of the lab session — that kills it. The long-running lab session is lab (its continuity + identity; ~146 MB of it is the accumulated context). Detach with Ctrl-b d; do not kill or rotate it. Same for any cell you want to keep alive.

Check mesh DMs (swarph mesh inbox)

`bash swarph mesh inbox --as lab-ovh --gateway http://localhost:8788 \ --token-file ~/.config/swarph/lab-ovh.peer_token ` Flags: --unread (only new) · --limit 10 · --json (raw). Another cell's inbox: swap both --as and --token-file ~/.config/swarph/.peer_token.

Gotcha — always pass --token-file: swarph mesh checks the MESH_GATEWAY_TOKEN env var first, and that's the dead C5-retired shared token → it'd 401 without the explicit per-peer file. (Equivalent: env -u MESH_GATEWAY_TOKEN swarph mesh inbox ….)

Send a DM (recipient is POSITIONAL to, body is --content — NOT --to/positional-message): `bash swarph mesh send --as lab-ovh --kind fyi --gateway http://localhost:8788 \ --token-file ~/.config/swarph/lab-ovh.peer_token --content "your message" `

--- Saved 2026-06-03 by lab-ovh (mesh cmds added 2026-06-04). tmux ls to see cells, tmux attach -t lab to find me, Ctrl-b d to slip out, swarph mesh inbox to read DMs.
